RAIC is a refugee managed volunteer group, focused on easing the burden for anyone fleeing persecution. Founded in 2017, RAIC aims to connect refugees with the support and services they need.
There are 14,000 forcibly displaced people in Indonesia, but there are huge gaps in support services. Charity Pot funds will be used for RAIC's monthly care package program, which includes basic hygiene and food essentials. The monthly care package program provides much needed basics for vulnerable refugee families in Indonesia.
RAIC began this program in August 2017, where they gave out 40 care packages to refugees living on the street outside the UNHCR building in Jakarta. Now, they are delivering 100 care packages every month to refugee families that are living on the streets or in small rented rooms, most with small children.
